FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need special insurance?

You may purchase a plan, but your purchased plan would provide insurance coverage

that only applies during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources

that provides you with similar benefits, but may be subject to different restrictions

depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this

policy with your existing life, health, home, and automobile insurance policies. Run the

World is not licensed to sell insurance, and cannot answer technical questions about the

benefits, exclusions, and conditions of this insurance and cannot evaluate the adequacy

of your existing insurance. The purchase of travel insurance is not required in order to

purchase any other product or service from Run the World.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. These tours are operated by Run the World, Inc. of Seattle, WA who acts only as

an agent for the passenger to the companies offering such services and assumes no

liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused by any reason

whatsoever by any party offering such services.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes. If you are ready to choose which tour you prefer, you will need to reserve your

spot. Paying a deposit ensures you will have a place reserved in that specific tour.

Do I book my own air tickets?

Yes. We currently offer land packages only that include hotel accommodations and

transportation upon arrival at the airport/train station to the hotel as well as for

departures at the end of the tour to the airport/train station.

Do you offer the entry fee?

No. We do not offer event entry at this time. You will need a medical release signed by

your physician that must be faxed or scanned/emailed to the event information point of

contact. Currently all participants will be expected to reserve this on their own.

Can I bring family and friends?

Absolutely. The event is a small portion of the time spent during your trip. Our

personalized, privately guided tours always include sightseeing and general activities

that appeal to all travelers.

I want to travel to one of the marathon tours, but I plan to travel by myself. Is Run the World the right option for me?

Of course! We handle the logistics of travel making it less of a hassle for you and more

of a memorable and safe traveling experience with like-minded, adventure-seeking

runners/walkers. If you prefer double occupancy packages, but are traveling alone,

please ask us if there is a single traveler that can share a room.

Do you accept first-timer marathoners on your trips?

Of course. We welcome anyone who has the desire and seeks the thrill of

running/walking a marathon in an overseas location regardless of experience.

I only run shorter distances such as half-marathons or 10Ks. Do you offer non-marathon

trips?

We currently do not, but many events offer shorter distances in addition to the

marathon. Runners/walkers interested in shorter distance races can find that

information on the event websites. We will be offering half marathons in the near future

so please check back or email us for details and timelines.
